Don’t set yourself up for failure by starting a diet right before christmas. Rather, start running every day but increase it after one week by 15 minutes and stay away from all breads, sweets, sugared sodas, and just eat the vegetables and the meat–high protein(fish, chicken, turkey only), low carbs and the running should give you a 10 lb weight loss within a month.

You can very easily take that off in 2 months, I’m begging don’t jog !!! walk or run only!!!! YOU CANNOT EAT LESS THAN 1400 calories a day that’s the minimum needed for any human for basic organ functioning if you eat less your body will metabolise proteins from your brain and heart and thats not a joke. but your plan seems perfect reasonable for your age and size

Assuming you could survive the holiday season without too many sugar cookies you could loose up to 20lb if you maintain an average 2lb a week. 1400 calories a day is a good goal but it might be better to do 1500 because anything less than that could mean you aren’t getting enough nutrients. Or if you want to stick with the 1400 make sure you are taking two multivitamins at least twice a day. Exercise is the key and drink at least two 32oz bottles of water every day. Your first week you could loose as much as 4lb just doing that… most of which might be water weight… as you go on it will get harder and you might find you only loose one pound in a week but don’t get discouraged. I would measure your waist and hips because loosing inches can be more telling than loosing pounds and will keep you on the right track.

Actually your BMI is 23.8 and 25 or under is healthy. If you really want to lose weight, you have to eat more. You should run for one full hour every day and just eat somewhat healthy food. You shouldn’t eat 1400 calories a day because then your body won’t have the energy to exercise. While he is training, Michael Phelps eats around 12,000 calories a day, but do you see him gaining any weight? The best way to lose weight is by exercising for about an hour a day and eating plenty of protein, fruits, and veggies. The main thing to remember is not to starve yourself and to eat healthily (but a little junk food is okay too). I do this and i am 5′8″ and 135 pounds. Good luck!
